Comfortable and relaxed large single-room drinking environment with welcoming hosts. The fourth micropub to open in the county, on 27 October 2017, having previously been the local headquarters of the Magic Circle. Central village location between the famous Barkers Shoes and Earls Barton's historic Saxon Tower. High stools and tables are arranged around the room along with chairs and tables. Six casks are stillaged behind the bar with cooling jackets. Wine, many gins, a selection of bottled beers and box ciders in the fridge also. Rural Pub of the Season Autumn 2023. A weekly Meat Raffle (from the E.Lee & sons butcher next door!) is held, along with occasional live music/entertainment on a Friday night from local artists. Occasional snacks are now available at the bar such as sausage rolls on a Friday.
