The Star Inn is known locally as the 'Pit House', and is a white country pub which has been completely refurbished, and reopened early 2012. This very old pub now has a contemporary feel, retaining the tiled floor bar area, and now offering fine dining in the separate restaurant. Gibbs Mew plaque still on wall outside. Sample paddle of 3 thirds on guest ales offered.Breakfast service is available from 10am on Sat,Sun and BH Mon. Food service is suspended on Saturday afternoons from 3 to 5pm if quiet.
