Situated between Notts County Football Ground and Trent Bridge this Victorian inn has been traditionally restored. The seating is a mixture; from high stools to comfy settees. Rooms behind the bar have patio doors leading to the large, partially covered decked barbecue/stage area. The Navigation brewery used to be located behind the pub housed in former stables for canal boat horses but the brewery closed late 2023. Most of that area has been re-developed for the "Big Shed" fan zone, featuring the biggest outdoor TV screen in the Midlands, and dedicated bars offering cask ale and food. "Over the Road" is another (indoor) fan zone featuring a large Jimmy Sirrel / Brian Clough mural on the front of the building, again serving real ale and food. Also available to hire for functions.
