The Boat sits in an idyllic spot adjacent to the River Erewash, close to Pinxton Wharf. Refurbished to a high standard in 2018, it has a spacious bar/dining area and two smaller rooms at the rear. The pub also has a large beer garden and parking at the front. Ian and Chelsea Butler, formerly of the Hop Inn, took over as tenants in 2026, introducing a changing selection of guest ales. Up to four real ales are available, often from local breweries, including a house ale from the nearby Bridges Brewery.
