This Grade II listed ivy-clad gem was built in 1616 and has a timeless feel to it. Oak beams feature throughout, with gleaming copper utensils hanging around three open fireplaces. The main bar boasts pewter jugs and a black-leaded range, and the is a popular beer garden. Owned by the Hopton Estate, it has been a Freehouse since spring 2024. An extensive menu of home-cooked dishes is available. It is handy for Carsington Water.
