See more about this pub on WhatPub, CAMRA's national pub guide.

Built c. 1800 as a meeting place for miners from the Swithland quarry. This popular pub, on the outskirts of the village, is traditionally furnished with wood-beamed ceilings, open fires and comfortable seating. Upstairs there is a more formal restaurant. Meals are served at lunchtime and evenings from the main menu and daily specials board. The pub is close to the National Forest Way long distance walking trail, Cropston Reservoir and the Beacon Hill and Bradgate Country Parks.
