See more about this pub on WhatPub, CAMRA's national pub guide.
Identified by CAMRA as having a nationally important historic pub interior, the Three Horseshoes is nicknamed 'Polly's' after a former landlady, Polly Burton. The pub was originally two separate buildings but now has two rooms. To the left is a long bar with a quarry-tiled floor and open fires, wooden bench seating and pre-war fittings; to the right is a similarly furnished small snug.
The pub has been renovated and refurbished, without any loss of historic charm or interest, and remains an unspoiled gem. Bryan and Niamh offer a very friendly welcome to locals and visitors alike. The outside seating area has been modernised and upgraded, and is now a sun-trap when the weather is cooperative. The old cash drawer has now been replaced by an electronic till.
Crusty cobs are available. First Wednesday of the month: Jacket potatoes with a variety of fillings. On Saturdays and Sundays, a weekly special is available.
