See more about this pub on CAMRA's national web site

The best-preserved medieval house in Leicester, it opened as a bar/restaurant in March 2017. The entrance from Jubilee Square leads through the extensive outdoor area and into a historic bar. To the left of the bar, on either side of a passage to the original front entrance, there are two small, separate, elegant rooms, normally with very welcome, open fires during colder months. The bar is in the medieval part of the house, with an old beamed ceiling and a long, medieval timber-framed window that bulges outwards. The ground floor is furnished with a few modern chairs, as well as armchairs, high-backed historic chairs and settees. The extensive, very attractive outdoor patio overlooks the square and is occasionally served by an outdoor bar. During the summer months, the pub sets out tables and chairs on parts of the square. Upstairs are two rooms with ancient beamed ceilings and good views out over an historic part of the city. Food is available downstairs regularly and upstairs in busy times if there is no function on. Note that the pub may close earlier than advertised, depending on trade. The house beer 'Wygstons House Best Bitter (3.9%) is supplied by Wantsum Brewery in Kent.
