The premises exudes an unpretentious ambience enhanced by bare unwrought timber floorboards, exposed ceiling joists braced with traditional timber herringbone strutting, a free-standing log burning stove and ornamental turned spindles in the balustrade to the open staircase leading up to additional first floor pool room and toilets. The servery is now at the back of the room, with the beer pumps and taps mounted on the back wall. Two beers from Shipstones are regular, with three guests. Background pop music is played. There is a small covered patio at the front, facing the main street. As well as the five cask beers, there is also a range of 'craft' kegs, cans and bottles, and a selection of ciders and perries.
