See more about this pub on WhatPub, CAMRA's national pub guide.

The premises exudes an unpretentious ambience enhanced by bare unwrought timber floorboards, exposed ceiling joists braced with traditional timber herringbone strutting, a small free standing log burning stove and ornamental turned spindles in the balustrade to the open staircase leading up to additional first floor seating area and toilets. The bar is in keeping with its setting, being built of rustic timber front and side, with a thick slab of waney edge beech as the counter. Behind the bar, beer is dispensed straight from the casks, which sit on automatic tilting stillages in a Perspex fronted cooler cabinet with only the taps poking through. As well as the five cask beers, there is also a range of 'craft' kegs, cans and bottles. No meals, but cobs are often available.
