Probably rebuilt in the late 19th century. The frontage has two timbered gables and a central entrance with a bay window each side. The interior was refurbished in 2017 and consists of a plain front bar, which appears to be two rooms knocked into one, stretching the full width of the front elevation; and a similar-sized rear public bar with skittles table and darts. The bars are decorated with illustrations of musicians and actors, and there are TVs for music and sport. On the left side is a small patio surrounded by old outbuildings; there is also a raised garden on the right. No meals, but cobs are often available. Located about 1km west of the village centre, but the regular 85 bus stops close by.
