A former coaching inn in a small village in a rural corner of south-east Leicestershire. Now a popular food-orientated pub with views across the rich pasture land of the Welland Valley to Northamptonshire. The modernised interior is in two parts: two rooms around a central servery at the front, one of which is a former beer cellar at lower level with brick-vaulted ceiling. At the back is a large separate bar, the 'Green Room', with its own servery. There is a small decked patio outside, alongside the car park. Food is available all day from an extensive menu. There are no regular scheduled bus services to Welham village.
