A large pub-diner which was opened by the Tom Cobleigh pub company in December 1996, and came into Greene King's ownership via the Spirit PubCo. A family restaurant and carvery, now operating under Greene King's Farmhouse Inns brand, with childrens indoor play area. Carvery food is available from 11.30am daily, and breakfasts are served until 11.00am. Although a comparatively new building, the large principal room has some interesting architectural features in the form of an intimate mezzanine floor area, unplastered brickwork with a rustically uneven finish and substantial exposed king post roof trusses. A smaller room to the rear, which can be booked for functions, has glazed double doors leading out onto a paved and raised decking patio area furnished with picnic tables.
