Found on a corner site in the centre of the village, the Chandlers is a focus for the community and welcoming to visitors. Its name derives from the buildings original use as a tallow candle maker's business. The beer garden overlooks the Village Green from a high vantage point. Guest beers are from microbreweries, often locally sourced, including a darker ale, usually a mild or stout. Good food is available but it is very much a drinker's pub. There are monthly bingo and quiz nights. Unfortunately there is no scheduled bus service to Shearsby, but use may be made of FoxConnect to 7.30pm Mon-Sat.
