See more about this pub on WhatPub, CAMRA's national pub guide.

Although a pub for many years this substantial building used to be a house and was built in the 1800s by descedants of Sir Abraham Hume who owned the village of South Kyme in the 1700s, hence the pub's name. This welcoming pub lies across from the Kyme Eau where narrow boats are frequently seen, especially during bank holidays for their rally. The rooms are tastefully decorated and include wood pannelling and many photographs of local scenes exhibited by a nearby photographer. Copie of Towpath - the waterway users newspaper is always available in the lobby.
