See more about this pub on WhatPub, CAMRA's national pub guide.

A quirky cattle themed decor has been used around this extensively modernised pub in recognition of its early 1800s origins as a slaughterhouse and butchery. It is situated in the historic village of Repton (an ancient capital of Mercia) which is dominated by its boarding school founded in the 16th century. The pub attracts a wide age group, and its wood-fired oven pizzas are popular. There is a large eating and drinking area around a central bar. The pub now features two large fridges at the end of the bar showcasing world bottled beer. Not that the pub is card only, so no cash.
