Centrally located in Melborne's old Midland Bank premises. It was originally owned by a group of local real ale enthusiasts. The building has been sympathetically restored and consists of three rooms, a main drinking area, a small seated area and a meeting room for local groups. It is South Derbyshire's first micro-pub now run by the Leatherbritches Brewery. There is a range of snacks sourced from small producers. Sunday opening hours apply on Bank Holidays. Due to a licensing condition, no one under the age eighteen is allowed on the premises. Derby CAMRA Country Pub of the Year Runner Up 2018 and Country Pub of the Year 2019 Changed ownership from 1st September 2021. Changed ownership to Leatherbritches from 29th November 2022.
