The Toby Carvery is a large imposing building situated in the Lane End area Chaddesden. There is easy access by one of the very frequent buses which pass along Nottingham Road. The large U-shaped interior is split into a dinning area and a more traditional pub area. The pub side is open from 10:00 each day. The dining area is split into several areas some of which are raised up. There is a separate room at the far end. The pub area is subtly split into two portions. The pub was refreshed inside and out in January 2024, which changed the exterior from a dark red to a cream colour. There is outdoor seating at the front of the building. Accommodation is at the on-site Travelodge and is used by a mixture of tourists and business people.
