Nunsfield House was built in 1828 by Mr Charles Holbrook and has been owned by Derbyshire County Council and later still Derby City Council. It stands in its own grounds not far from the shopping center of Alvaston. Established in 1989. Nunsfield Social Club Ltd has grown from strength to strength and is now a nationally recognised award winning club. Well known for the range and quality of the real ales on offer, Nunsfield is a haven for the real ale fan. The Club is large and well appointed with function facilities but also a seperate bar area. It offers around 450 different real ales each year from breweries the length and breadth of the country. Non-members can be signed in for a £1.00 charge.
