As a pub it dates back to the 11th century, which makes it the one of the oldest in Derbyshire. Now open as an Italian restaurant with tapas style meal plates. It retains a small bar area serving cask ale where casual drinkers are welcome and has a large garden area at the front with a terrace at the rear.
