A Marston's pub dating back to about 1870, situated half way up a very steep hill not far from the Market Place with a good view of Belper from the outside terrace. Under new ownership in 2023 and has become especially popular on Cask Ale Tuesdays with all 4 cask ales at reduced prices. Ham or cheese filled cobs are available at most times.
