See more about this pub on WhatPub, CAMRA's national pub guide.

This free house has been licensed since the 1870s. A converted barn and farmhouse in the small village of Barnby-in-the-Willows, close to Newark. A regular bus service runs to the village on Monday to Saturday but only during the day. Food is freshly cooked and sourced from local ingredients. In late 2011 a half barrel brewery was installed at the back of the pub to supply the bar with beers from Handley’s brewery. The pub is in the Locale scheme (Handley's brewery beers are always available). In addition to stated opening hours, the pub's website states it opens Saturday lunchtime "by prior arrangement".
